Job Description Sheraton Mountain Vista & Lakeside Terrace - Engineering/Maintenance/Facilities Department Level 1 = Entry Level 2 = Mid Level 3 = Skilled The Maintenance Technician I (Mechanic) provides quality customer service by promptly responding to guests' calls, and performs general routine and preventative maintenance and repair in the area(s) assigned.
Essential Functions: Perform maintenance on and repair electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment. Conduct safety and quality inspections to determine defects, troubleshoot malfunctions, take necessary corrective action, and record same following specific department procedures. Responsible for identifying and repairing all mechanical failure to include repair of appliances, HVAC, electrical or plumbing, as well as the follow-through of procedures on equipment maintenance where applicable as directed by management. Responsible for maintaining key inventories and the re-key program. Participate in the Maintenance Team. Additional duties to include drywall & texturing repairs, painting, and carpentry. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent is required. Trade school or college training in building maintenance and/or one (1) to two (2) years experience, in field or resort expertise, is preferred. A valid Driver License is required. Must be available for a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements: Must be able to work with hand and power tools, ladders, electricity, machinery, hazardous chemicals, slippery surfaces, confined spaces, and loud noises. Must exhibit safe work habits at all times.
